Biography

I was born in Bognor Regis, West Sussex and am now based in Kings Worthy, near Winchester, Hampshire, UK. I graduated from Newcastle University in 1988 with a Fine Art degree.

I have worked in a diverse range of media and across a range of subjects. These have included murals for schools and other institutions, unique personalised portraits and illustrations for magazines, websites, interpretation boards. I currently work predominantly in oils but I also enjoy painting in watercolours.

I am inspired by my surroundings – the countryside and coastlines of Hampshire and neighbouring counties – as well as still life subjects. I have exhibited my paintings locally and nationally in a range of galleries and art festivals. I also paint to commission and love to work with a client to create a unique painting for themselves or as a special gift.

I am also an art tutor and have worked at a variety of different institutions for both children and adults. I have recently established a programme of art workshops for Staff Wellbeing; clients currently include the University of Winchester.
